The newest member of our family all the way from Arkansas: Cassidy!!!!!

I am starting this post about our new family member, by honoring our family member, Rudy that passed away in March. Before I could post pics of our new dog, I had start this post with 2 pictures of Rudy. Rudy was my once in a lifetime dog. I had Rudy for 14 years and sadly, he died from cancer, March 7, 2008. To say I miss him is an understatement, but his sister Roxy was lonely and we decided it was time for another dog.
We found Cassidy on http://www.petfinder.com/. Cassidy is a rescue, a Pembroke Corgi, that was found on the streets of Little Rock, Arkansas.
I have several people to thank for helping us get Cassidy home. First and foremost, my husband Pete, Lori, my dear friend who has dedicated her life to rescuing and fostering animals, Merrie, also a rescue volunteer, for helping us transport Cassidy from Connecticut to New York, Jeff and Kelly at Alpha Dog Transport for getting her all the way from Little Rock to Connecticut safely, and lastly and certainly not least, Jillian from Almost Home Rescue out of New England: http://www.alomosthomerescue.net/. Thank you all so much! Cassidy is adjusting well, as is Roxy, to having a new sister........
